Silymarin is a kind of favonolignan compound, extracted from the seed capsule of milk thistle (Silybum Marianum).It's yellow powder with bitter taste,easily soluble in acetone, ethyl acetate, ethanol and methanol, slightly soluble in chloroform and insoluble in water.The main ingredients are: silibinin A and B, isosibilinin A and B, silicristin, silidianin.
Functions:
It has the efficacy for liver protecting, improving the function of liver, promoting biliation and diminishing liver inflammation. As a kind of better antioxidant, it can clear free radical in human body, postpone senility.
